Mrs. Welty
Hello, my name is Meghan Welty. This will be my fourth year as a the teacher at Freedom! I love our school and I love our class! Before teaching at FHS I taught middle grades at North Liberty and have spent two years teaching a separate setting classroom at Forest Hills High School in Union County. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Special Education- Adapted Curriculum. GO APPSTATE!!
I have a passion for teaching students with disabilities. I love providing students with opportunities to learn and grow. I love teaching my students that they are capable of accomplishing anything they set their minds to. I grew up right here in Morganton. I am a mountain girl at heart, and love to be outside. I am married to Troy. I have a 3 year old daughter, Keraghen. We have two dogs, Cooper and Boone. Outside of school you will find me spending time with my family, my friends, and worshiping at church!

Mrs. Waters
This year will be Mrs. Water's fifth year in the Extend 1 classroom at Freedom. Mrs. Water's is very involved in the Patriot life. She is in the treasurer of the Booster Club, coaches softball, and drives a bus for Freedom. Mrs. Water's has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. She is a great assest to our classroom, and she enjoys working with each student. She loves to talk to them about their favorite subjects, and is constantly encouraging each student to try their hardest.
